Normoxic Trimix CCR
The Normoxic Trimix CCR course is the intermediate level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) for mixed gas diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for mixed gas diving on the unit specific CCR, utilizing a mixed gas diluent containing 16 percent or greater oxygen, and to develop intermediate CCR diving skills appropriate to technical diving to a maximum depth of 60 metres / 200 feet, 230 feet with IANTD CCR Normoxic Trimix Plus.
Please note: Because the only north-Florida dive sites which offer the necessary depth for this training, you must be certified to the Full Cave Diver and CCR Cave Diver levels. If students wish to take the course in the ocean, destination travel can be arranged.
Certification is through TDI, IANTD.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide a verified log of a minimum of 50 rebreather hours distributed over a minimum of 50 dives on the specific rebreather.
- Be certified to the CCR Air Diluent/Deco level.
- Be certified to the Full Cave Diver level and CCR Cave level or equivalent – unless taking in the ocean
- This course generally takes five days are requires at least 360 minutes of bottom time over 6 dives.
