The Cave Diving Website

Where can you cave dive?

Cave diving takes place around the world, including areas such as eastern and western Europe, southeast Asia, Japan, the South Pacific, Hawai’i and Brazil. This website is oriented to the needs of those divers from around the world wishing to train and dive the caves of North America. This region has underwater caves in places such as the Pacific Northwest, California, Nevada, Missouri, Indiana, southern Ontario, Maryland and Virginia. These caves, however, tend to be cold and murky, and are not well suited for new cave divers.

In North America, the vast majority of recreational cave diving — and Cave Diver training — takes place in north-central Florida and the east coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. In this section, you’ll read about some of these areas’ most popular underwater caves and what you can expect to see and experience in each.
